Facility and Personnel Enhancement
- Existing hospital facilities and professional health care services will be upgraded to correspond with the increased bed capacity.
- The hospital must increase the number of medical personnel in proportion to the new bed capacity.
Funding and Program Inclusion
- The Secretary of Health must include the implementation of this Act in the DOH’s program.
- Funding for the Act’s implementation shall be allocated within the annual General Appropriations Act.
Repeal of Previous Law
- Republic Act No. 8527, which previously increased the hospital’s bed capacity, is repealed.
- All other laws, decrees, orders, issuances, rules, and regulations inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are repealed.
Rules and Regulations Promulgation
- The DOH must promulgate the necessary rules and regulations for the effective implementation of the Act within sixty (60) days after its approval.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
