Purpose of Land Transfer
- The 200 hectares are designated for use by WMSU's College of Agriculture.
- Intended support for relocation or development of other allied colleges that may move to this site.
- The transferred land will also be used for a housing project dedicated to all employees of WMSU.
Background and Justification
- WMSU College of Agriculture is located in Barangay San Ramon, on a 20-hectare parcel acquired under P.D. No. 1427 (June 10, 1978).
- The current 20 hectares is deemed inadequate for the college's requirements.
- The university envisions creating a residential campus and a comprehensive housing project for university employees at San Ramon.
- The adjacent San Ramon Penal Colony administers a large tract of idle land measuring 938 hectares, part of which is subject to transfer.
Implementation and Execution
- The Director of the Bureau of Lands is tasked with:
- Conducting an immediate survey and delineation of the 200-hectare parcel.
- Identifying technical descriptions of the transferred land.
- Preparing all necessary plans and documentation for the effective implementation of the transfer.
Legal Authority and Effectivity
- The order is issued under the authority vested in the President of the Republic of the Philippines.
- The Executive Order is signed by the President and countersigned by the Executive Secretary.
- Effective as of October 21, 2000, in Manila, Philippines.
