- Participants must meet a predetermined grade to qualify for license issuance; failure results in denial of license.
Requirement for Inactive Licensed Tour Guides for Over 4 Years
- Tour guides inactive for more than four years must enroll in the Regular Tour Guide Seminar.
- This seminar is conducted by DOT or authorized entities.
- Success is contingent on achieving a predetermined grade; failure leads to non-issuance of the license.
Requirements for New Tour Guide License Applicants
- New applicants must enroll in the Regular Tour Guide Seminar conducted by the DOT or authorized entities.
- Must achieve a predetermined passing grade for license issuance.
- Additional qualifications include:
- Being a college graduate (or equivalent educational attainment for foreign applicants based on their home country’s system).
- Proficiency in English.
- Proficiency in another foreign language.
- Possession of good moral character.
Effectivity and Repeal of Previous Order
- This order repeals Administrative Order No. 5, Series of 1989.
- It takes effect immediately upon issuance.
- Remains valid until revoked.
Compliance and Enforcement
- Mandatory adherence by all concerned tour guides and applicants.
- Enforced under the supervision of the Department of Tourism.
