Upgrading Hospital Facilities and Health Care Services

  • Existing hospital facilities and professional health care services are upgraded and expanded.

Creation of Additional Medical Personnel Positions

  • The Department of Health (DOH), in coordination with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) and Civil Service Commission (CSC), will determine additional plantilla positions.

Inclusion in Departmental Programs and Funding

  • The Secretary of Health is mandated to include the implementation of this Act in the DOH's program.
  • Funding for the implementation is to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Severability Clause

  • If any provision of the Act is declared unconstitutional, all other provisions remain valid and effective.

Amendments and Repeals

  • Section 3 of Republic Act No. 1859, as amended, is further amended to reflect this law.
  • All inconsistent laws, decrees, orders, rules, and regulations are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly.

Effectivity

  • The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
