The GSIS Board of Trustees has authorized the acceptance of secondary evidence, such as payroll documents and salary slips, for loan repayment records prior to July 1997 to facilitate the updating and reconciliation of members' accounts.

Temporal Application of Guidelines

  • Secondary evidence acceptance applies only to loan repayments due and payable before July 1997.

Certification Requirement for Submitted Documents

  • Submitted secondary evidence must be certified by the Agency Finance or Accounting Officer.
  • Certifier’s specimen signature must be current and on file with GSIS offices (Home, District, Field, Satellite).

Official Receipts Not Required

  • Secondary evidences need not be accompanied by Official Receipts showing the remittance of loan repayments.

Encouragement for Submission to Facilitate Record Reconciliation

  • Members are encouraged to submit acceptable secondary evidences to their servicing GSIS Offices.
  • Aims to facilitate reconciliation and updates of individual loan accounts.
