Service Requirements for Reclassification
- Investigation Agents must complete at least five years of continuous, efficient, and meritorious service to be reclassified as Agent II.
- For reclassification to Agent III, at least eight years of service with similar continuous merits are required.
- Merit and qualifications assessed by a designated board are key factors beyond service years for reclassification decisions.
Promotion and Merit Evaluation Procedures
- Civil Service Law and applicable rules strictly govern promotions.
- A screening board comprising three ranking agents, led by the Chief of CIS, evaluates merit and fitness for promotion.
Repeal Clause
- All inconsistent laws or provisions are repealed to the extent of inconsistency with this Act.
Appropriations for Implementation
- Necessary funds for implementation in the fiscal year ending June 30, 1967, appropriated from savings within the concerned bureau or office.
- Future funding to be included in the General Appropriations Act annually.
Effectivity Clause
- The Act takes effect immediately upon approval.
