General Policy Guidelines

    • High-Speed Craft Safety Certificate (HSCSC)
    • Exemption Certificate (EC)
    • Minimum Safe Manning Certificate (MSMC)
    • Fishing Vessel Safety Certificate (FVSC)
    • Certificate of Fitness (CF)
    • Other certificates as required by MARINA.
  • Certificates issued only upon meeting SSIS Manual requirements.

Specific Provisions on Certificates

  • PSSC: Issued to passenger ships, validity up to 12 months, extendable up to 3 months.
  • CSSC: Issued to cargo ships, validity up to 5 years, with annual endorsement after inspection; endorsed validity extendable up to 3 months.
  • CSSCC, CSSEC, CE: Issued to cargo ships carrying oil/dangerous products, validity up to 5 years, with annual endorsement.
  • HSCSC: Issued to high-speed crafts (passenger or cargo), validity up to 12 months, extendable up to 3 months.
  • FVSC: Issued to fishing vessels, validity up to 5 years, with annual endorsement; extendable up to 3 months.
  • MSMC: Issued to all ships, validity up to 5 years, with annual endorsement.
  • EC: Issued by MARINA to qualified ships; validity not exceeding applicable safety certificates.

Schedule of Fees and Charges
