Restoration Directive for the Intendencia Building

  • The Intendencia Building shall be restored to its original condition.

  • Surrounding sidewalks, streets, and open spaces shall also be restored to their original state.

Oversight and Supervision of Restoration Work

  • The Ministry of Public Works, Transportation and Communication shall carry out the restoration work.
  • The Intramuros Restoration Committee, created under LOI No. 733, shall supervise and guide the restoration.
  • Restoration plans require approval from the Intramuros Restoration Committee.

Intended Use of the Restored Building

  • The second floor of the reconstructed building shall house the National Archives.
  • The ground floor shall be used by the Bureau of the Treasury.
  • The building's design shall be prepared to accommodate these functions.

  • The Intramuros Restoration Committee shall submit recommendations on the utilization and restoration of Comelec buildings on Oral, Luna and Postigo Streets ahead of COMELEC’s transfer to the Government Center.
