Title
POEA policy on requests for deployment data
Law
Poea Advisory No. 14
Decision Date
Dec 20, 2004
Effective February 2005, the POEA will cease to fulfill requests from recruitment agencies for lists of processed or deployed workers, as it now maintains direct access to this data, with exceptions only for requests mandated by Philippine Embassies or POLOs.
A

Rationale for Discontinuation

  • Data and statistics used as supporting documents for license renewal are no longer necessary because the Licensing Branch has direct access to such data through the POEA local area network.
  • POEA assumes that each licensed recruitment agency is capable of maintaining its own database of processed or deployed workers and related information.

Handling of Official Requests for Certified Lists

  • Official requests for certified lists of processed or deployed workers will no longer be considered by POEA.
  • Exceptions include requests for certified deployment information required by Philippine Embassies or Philippine Overseas Labor Offices (POLOs).
  • In such cases, POEA will respond directly to the requesting Embassy or POLO.

Public Access to Statistics

  • Statistics intended for public consumption are accessible at the POEA Library and on the official POEA website.

Procedure for Other Information Requests

  • All other specific requests related to overseas employment programs must be submitted through the Office of the Deputy Administrator for Management Services.
  • If approved, a minimal fee will be charged for producing the required information.

Administrative Details

  • This advisory was issued on December 20, 2004.
  • Carmelita S. Dimzon serves as the Officer-in-Charge at the time of issuance.

This advisory aims to streamline data handling practices, reduce redundancy, and ensure secure and controlled dissemination of overseas employment information.
