Q&A (POEA ADVISORY NO. 14)

The advisory takes effect on the first working day of February 2005.

The POEA will no longer entertain requests from recruitment agencies for lists of their processed or deployed workers and other statistics pertaining to deployment of overseas workers.

Because the Licensing Branch already has access to such data in the POEA local area network, and the POEA believes that each licensed recruitment agency has the capability to build its own database.

No, all official requests for certified lists of processed or deployed workers will no longer be considered by the POEA.

Requests required by Philippine Embassies or Philippine Overseas Labor Offices (POLOs) will be acted upon, and the answers will be sent to the requesting Embassy or POLO.

Statistics for public consumption are available at the POEA Library and on the POEA website.

Such requests should be coursed through the Office of the Deputy Administrator for Management Services.

Yes, a minimal fee will be charged if the request is granted.

The Licensing Branch already has access to data and statistics related to deployment of overseas workers through the POEA local area network and uses them as supporting documents for license renewal.

Carmelita S. Dimzon, Officer-in-Charge, signed the advisory.
