Rate Matrix and Weight Categories

  • The rate matrix is structured based on weight steps in grams: 20g, 21-50g, 51-100g, 101-250g, 251-500g, 501-1000g, 1001-1500g, and 1501-2000g.
  • Different rates apply depending on the mode and destination of postal delivery.

Rate Classifications: Inter-Land, Inter-Air, Intra-Rate

  • Inter-Land Rate: Applicable when mail is posted from one province to another province and transported by land.
  • Inter-Air Rate: Applicable for mail posted from one province to another province when transported by air.
  • Intra-Rate: Applied when mail is posted and delivered within the same province (e.g., Metro Manila to Metro Manila; Laguna to Laguna).

Detailed Rate Values (in Philippine Pesos)

  • Inter-Land Rates: Range from ₱12.00 for up to 20g to ₱115.00 for 1501-2000g.
  • Inter-Air Rates: Range from ₱15.00 for up to 20g to ₱125.00 for 1501-2000g.
  • Intra-Rate: Range from ₱10.00 for up to 20g to ₱100.00 for 1501-2000g.

Administrative Directives

  • The rate matrix must be visibly provided and made available at all post offices.
  • Compliance with the rationalized rates is mandatory as of the effective date.
  • The Postmaster General and CEO officially issued the administrative order to ensure uniform implementation nationwide.
