Duration and Structure of Boxing Contests
- No boxing contest shall exceed twenty rounds.
- Each round shall last no more than three minutes.
- An interval of one minute must be observed between each round.
Specifications for Boxing Equipment and Venue
- Boxers are required to wear gloves weighing at least four ounces.
- The boxing ring or enclosure must be square and measure not less than sixteen feet on each side.
- The floor of the ring must be covered with canvas or another suitable material.
- Beneath the canvas, there must be a padding layer at least half an inch thick made of resilient material to minimize injury from falls or knockdowns.
- The ring must be surrounded on all sides by at least three ropes of adequate strength for protection.
Repeal of Inconsistent Provisions
- Any acts or parts of previous legislation inconsistent with this Act are repealed.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act takes effect in accordance with section eleven of the Revised Administrative Code, indicating the implementation follows existing administrative procedures.
