Q&A (Acts No. 4094)

Sparring or boxing exhibition meetings may be held twice a week.

The person, club, or organization holding the meetings determines the days for the exhibitions.

At least one of the meetings must feature only beginners fighting, and popular prices not exceeding two pesos per seat shall be charged.

No boxing contest shall be of more than twenty rounds.

No round shall be of more than three minutes duration.

There must be an interval of one minute between each round.

No boxer shall be allowed to wear gloves weighing less than four ounces.

The ring must be square, measuring not less than sixteen feet each way, with a floor covered by canvas or other suitable material and padding of at least half an inch thickness to minimize injuries, and protected on all sides by not less than three ropes of sufficient strength.

All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are repealed.

It shall take effect in accordance with section eleven of the Revised Administrative Code.
