Increase in Authorized Bed Capacity
- The authorized bed capacity is increased from 25 to 150 beds.
- Any future increase in bed capacity must align with a hospital development plan.
- The development plan is to be prepared by the Chief of Hospital and submitted to the Department of Health (DOH).
Upgrading of Healthcare Services and Facilities
- Existing professional healthcare services and facilities are to be upgraded.
- The upgrade must correspond to the increased bed capacity.
Increase in Workforce
- The hospital’s workforce, including doctors, nurses, and support staff, shall be increased proportionally to the bed capacity expansion.
Funding and Appropriations
- The Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro is responsible for funding maintenance and operating expenses of the hospital.
- Additional funds must be allocated to cover the increased human resource complement.
- Funds shall also support upgrades to services and facilities.
Support from Department of Health
- The Secretary of the DOH shall include the OMPH in DOH’s subsidy program.
- The subsidy must cover capital outlay requirements for the hospital.
Severability Clause
- If any provision of the law is declared unconstitutional, the remaining provisions shall continue to be effective.
Repealing Clause
- Laws, executive orders, issuances, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Act are modified accordingly.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
