Composition and Barrios Included
- The following sitios are organized into barrios under their existing names: Upper Dioyo, Upper Salimpono, Upper Potongan, Concepcion, Laya-an, Potongan (Small), Capule, Maligubaan, Upper Mantokoy, Cuiban, Virayan, Pogan, Soso-on, Lengatongan, Casul, and Upper Dapitan.
- These sitios/barrios are all part of the municipality of Aloran before this reorganization.
- The seat of government for the new municipal district is established at the barrio of Concepcion.
Territorial Boundaries and Description
- The northern boundary aligns with the Aloran-Oroquieta boundary as indicated in the Land Classification Map of Misamis Occidental certified on June 24, 1954, by the Director of Forestry (L.C.-1762).
- The western boundary follows the Misamis Occidental-Zamboanga del Sur boundary line.
- The southern boundary is a straight imaginary west-to-east line passing through Corner No. 35 of Project No. 16-D, Block II, classified as Alienable and Disposable land.
- The eastern boundary is a straight north-to-south imaginary line coinciding with Longitude 123A38a.
Commencement of Municipal District Existence
- The municipal district shall legally come into existence upon the appointment and qualification of its local officials: the Mayor, Vice-Mayor, and a majority of the Councilors.
Legal Authority and Execution
- The organization of the municipal district is executed by an executive order signed by the President of the Philippines, Ramon Magsaysay, and attested to by the Executive Secretary, Fortunato De Leon.
- The order was signed in Manila on September 27, 1956, during the eleventh year of Philippine independence.
