Legal Authority and Basis
- The creation of Padre Garcia municipality is carried out upon the recommendation of the Secretary of the Interior.
- The organizing authority is pursuant to Section 68 of the Revised Administrative Code.
Geographical Boundaries
- Northern boundary: the present boundary between the City of Lipa and Rosario.
- Eastern boundary: the boundary between the municipality of Tiaong, Quezon Province, and Rosario.
- Southeastern boundary: follows the Bayan River from the Batangas-Quezon boundary westward along a southern tributary to a point north of barrio Tiquiwan, Rosario.
- Southern and southwestern boundary: runs westward from the said point to Quilo-quilo permanent dam at Quilo-quilo Creek; then extends to Pinagmuzonan culvert between Lumang Bayan and Quilib; continues to Tampayak timber bridge between Sta. Cruz and San Miguel; and follows Tampayak Creek northward to the Lipa-Rosario boundary.
- Boundary description is based on a Rosario map, scale 1:40,000, and district engineer data dated May 28, 1948.
Effect on the Municipality of Rosario
- The remaining Municipality of Rosario shall consist of its current territory minus the portion constituted into Padre Garcia.
Date of Effectivity
- The organization of the new municipality will take effect on December 1, 1949.
Formalization and Approval
- The Executive Order is signed by the President of the Philippines, Elpidio Quirino.
- It is dated October 11, 1949, and executed in the City of Manila.
- The order is attested by the Executive Secretary, Teodoro Evangelista.
