Increase of Municipalities in Agusan Province

The number of municipalities in Agusan Province increases from five to six.
This reorganization is pursuant to section sixty-eight of the Revised Administrative Code.

Territorial Composition of the New and Existing Municipalities

The new municipality of Buenavista comprises the territory of the barrio of Buenavista and its sitios.
The municipality of Butuan retains all its present territory except the territory of the barrio of Buenavista and its sitios.

Effective Date of the Reorganization

This reorganization of municipalities takes effect on January 1, 1937.

The reorganization was made upon the recommendation of Assemblyman Apolonio D. Curato and the Secretary of the Interior.
