- Increased commercial activity in Barangay Valencia caused traffic volume to increase.
- Streets involved (1st Street, Castilla Street, Valencia Street including Valencia Loop) are narrow two-lane roads designed for two-way traffic.
- Indiscriminate parking worsens traffic flow.
- Necessity to convert these streets to one-way traffic to ensure smooth and orderly vehicular flow.
Coverage and Scope
- Ordinance applies to 1st Street, Castilla Street, Valencia Street including Valencia Loop in Barangay Valencia.
- All public and private vehicles must observe one-way traffic on these streets.
Implementation Mandate
- Enforcement and implementation authority given to the Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) and Barangay Public Security Officers (BPSO) of Barangay Valencia.
Traffic Signage
- DPOS, together with Barangay Valencia, responsible for installing necessary traffic signs.
- Signs must be placed in unobstructed locations for clear visibility to motorists and the public.
Penalties for Violation
- Violators of this one-way traffic ordinance will be fined between Five Hundred Pesos (Php 500) and Two Thousand Pesos (Php 2,000).
Repealing Clause
- Ordinances, executive orders or rules inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly.
Separability Clause
- Declares that if any part is declared unconstitutional or invalid, the remaining provisions continue to be effective.
Effectivity Clause
- Ordinance takes effect immediately upon approval.
