Chairmanship and Secretariat
- The Chairman of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) or his/her authorized representative serves as the Committee Chairman.
- The secretariat is composed of CDA employees.
Primary Purpose of the Committee
- Ensure effective coordination among government agencies and the CDA in implementing integrated programs and projects on cooperative development.
Core Functions of the Committee
- Coordinate all government agencies and mobilize resources necessary for cooperative development.
- Assist the CDA in formulating policies, programs, and projects promoting cooperatives of all types.
- Provide a comprehensive package of technical and financial assistance to cooperatives.
- Recommend necessary actions to promote and develop cooperatives.
- Guided by cooperative principles and the principle of subsidiarity as per the Cooperative Code (R.A. 6938).
Meetings and Decision-Making
- The Committee meets at least quarterly at times and places determined by the Committee.
- The Chairman can call special meetings for specific issues.
- Decisions are made by consensus and are recommendatory for each involved agency.
Effectivity of Guidelines
- The guidelines take effect upon the approval of the CDA Board of Administrators.
- The resolution adopting these guidelines was signed on August 17, 1993, by the Board Chairman.
