Expansion of Medical Personnel and Budget
- The number of medical personnel at NMMC will be increased in proportion to the expanded bed capacity.
- Corresponding increases in budget allocations for personnel services, maintenance, and other operating expenses are mandated.
- The Secretary of the DOH, in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management and the Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission, and after consulting the Chief of NMMC, will determine the additional plantilla (staff) positions to be created.
Immediate Implementation of Bed Capacity Increase
- The enhancement of bed capacity from 600 to 1,200 beds at NMMC shall be executed immediately upon the approval of this Act.
Effectivity Clause
- The Act takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
