President Corazon C. Aquino issues Executive Order No. 69, increasing the Aviation Security Fee on departing international passengers from P10.00 to P30.00, in order to provide adequate funds for the National Action Committee on Anti-Hijacking (NACAH) and enhance aviation security standards.

Modification and Supersession of Previous Issuances

  • Letter of Instructions No. 414-A dated June 17, 1976, which originally prescribed the ASF, is modified to reflect the new fee amount.
  • Any laws, orders, issuances, or rules and regulations inconsistent with this Executive Order are repealed or modified accordingly, ensuring legal conformity.

Immediate Effectivity of the Executive Order

  • The Executive Order takes effect immediately upon promulgation.
  • It was signed and enacted on November 21, 1986, in Manila by President Corazon C. Aquino and Executive Secretary Joker P. Arroyo.
