Legal basis and related issuances
- The increase is made pursuant to the President’s authority under Letter of Implementation No. 99, dated September 10, 1979, to approve changes in allowances, including subsistence allowance, for uninformed personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Policy and purpose
