- Executive Order No. 18 (August 25, 1998) previously increased the subsistence allowance for Armed Forces personnel to Sixty Pesos per day, providing a comparative basis.
Funding and Appropriations
- Funding for the subsistence allowance increase in the calendar year 1999 shall be sourced from the lump-sum appropriation under the Miscellaneous Personnel Benefits Program authorized by Republic Act No. 8745 (General Appropriations Act of 1999).
- For subsequent years, the funds necessary for the allowance shall be included in the annual regular appropriations of the BJMP and BFP, which fall under the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Implementation and Authority
- The Secretary of the Interior and Local Government is mandated to issue necessary and proper implementing instructions to ensure the full effectivity of the Executive Order.
Repeal and Modification of Conflicting Rules
- All existing rules, regulations, and other issuances which conflict with this Executive Order are repealed or modified accordingly to avoid inconsistencies.
