Applicability of the New Allowances
- The increased MAW and food allowance apply to all employment contracts signed on or after October 1, 2013.

Transitional Provisions for Existing Contracts
- Contracts with the existing MAW of HK$3,920 and food allowance of HK$875 remain valid if signed on or before October 1, 2013.
- These contracts must be processed by the Philippine Consulate on or before October 28, 2013, to be accepted under the old allowance rates.
