Transfer of Personnel, Assets, Liabilities, and Records
- All personnel currently employed at the Hibao-an Elementary School will be transferred to the Hibao-an Integrated School.
- All assets and liabilities of the former elementary school are absorbed by the integrated school.
- School records are also transferred to ensure continuity and proper administration.
Funding and Operationalization
- The Secretary of Education is tasked with including the operationalization of the Hibao-an Integrated School in the Department of Education's program.
- Funding for the school’s operations is to be sourced from and incorporated into the annual General Appropriations Act.
Formulation of Implementing Rules and Regulations
- The Secretary of Education must develop the implementing rules and regulations within ninety (90) days from the Act's approval.
- These implementing rules are to cover the organization, administration, operations, and management of the integrated school.
- The formulation of these rules will align with existing laws such as Republic Act No. 9155 (Governance of Basic Education Act of 2001) and Republic Act No. 10533 (Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013), including other applicable basic education laws.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act becomes effective fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation.
Other Legal Provisions
- The Act was approved by both houses of Congress: the House of Representatives on January 31, 2023, and the Senate on March 20, 2023.
- The President of the Philippines approved the Act on June 15, 2023.
This legislation ensures the smooth transition of the former elementary school to an integrated school, securing operational readiness, funding, and regulatory compliance within a defined legal framework.
