The main purpose of Republic Act No. 11950 is to convert the Hibao-an Elementary School in Barangay Hibao-an Sur, Mandurriao District, Iloilo City into an integrated school, now known as the Hibao-an Integrated School.
All personnel, assets, liabilities, and records of the Hibao-an Elementary School are transferred and absorbed by the Hibao-an Integrated School.
The Secretary of Education is responsible for immediately including the Hibao-an Integrated School in the Department of Education's program.
The funding for the Hibao-an Integrated School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
The Secretary of Education shall formulate the implementing rules and regulations within ninety (90) days from the approval of this Act.
The implementing rules and regulations should provide for the school's organization, administration, operations, and management in accordance with relevant laws such as the Governance of Basic Education Act of 2001 and the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013.
Republic Act No. 9155 (Governance of Basic Education Act of 2001), Republic Act No. 10533 (Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013), and other basic education-related laws should be considered.
This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
The new name after conversion is Hibao-an Integrated School.
The House of Representatives passed it on January 31, 2023, and the Senate passed it on March 20, 2023.
