New Registration Transactions and Penalty Waiver

  • New Registration Units (NRUs) and select District Offices (DOs) authorized for new registrations must not collect penalties for sales invoices if the 7th day (due date) falls on a weekend or holiday.
  • Penalty waiver applies specifically to new registration transactions.
  • Use of MVUC Adjustment functionality in LTO IT System is mandatory for processing these transactions without penalty.

Renewal of Registration

  • No penalty shall be collected if the application for renewal of registration is submitted on the next working day following a weekend or holiday due date.

Driver's License Renewal

  • Driver's licenses due for renewal on a weekend or holiday will be accepted without penalty if renewal is done on the next working day.

Student Permit Validity Extension

  • Student permits expiring on a Saturday, Sunday, or holiday are automatically valid until the next working day.

Effectivity and Compliance

  • The memorandum circular is effective immediately upon issuance.
  • Strict compliance by all concerned offices and personnel is mandated.
