Scope and Eligibility for Chinese Nationals

Visa-Free Entry Requirements

  • Chinese nationals must possess a valid and current visa from one of the following countries or regions: United States (American visa), Japan, Australia, Canada, or any Schengen Area country.
  • Must hold a passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended period of stay in the Philippines.
  • Must have a return or onward ticket to their next country of destination.
  • Must have no derogatory record with the Bureau of Immigration.

Duration and Extension of Stay

  • Initial visa-free entry permits a stay not exceeding seven (7) days.
  • The initial stay may be extended once for an additional fourteen (14) days.
  • The total maximum allowable stay under this visa-free entry is twenty-one (21) days.

Restrictions and Limitations

  • This visa-free admission is non-convertible to any other type or category of visa.
  • This privilege can be availed at all major international airports, Secondary International Hubs (SIHs), and seaports.
  • Applicable for passengers arriving by cruise ships or vessels as well.

Administrative Provisions and Effectivity

  • All previous circulars, orders, or issuances that conflict with this memorandum circular are revoked or modified accordingly.
  • The memorandum circular takes effect immediately upon issuance.
  • The circular mandates furnishing copies to the Office of the National Administrative Register (ONAR) and the U.P. Law Center for public record.
