BI IMMIGRATION MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. SBM-2014-012

: The main purpose is to grant visa-free entry to Chinese nationals with valid and current American, Japanese, Australian, Canadian, or Schengen visas for tourism purposes to promote and encourage tourism development in the Philippines.
: Chinese nationals who possess a valid and current American, Japanese, Australian, Canadian, or Schengen visa are beneficiaries for tourism purposes.
: They must have: 1) A valid and current American, Japanese, Australian, Canadian, or Schengen visa; 2) A national passport valid for at least six months beyond the contemplated stay; 3) Return or onward ticket to the next country of destination; 4) No derogatory record with the Bureau of Immigration.
: The initial authorized stay is for not exceeding seven (7) days.
: Yes, it can be extended by an additional fourteen (14) days for a maximum of twenty-one (21) days.
: No, this type of admission is non-convertible to other visa categories.
: It can be availed at all major international airports, secondary international hubs (SIHs), and seaports by passengers on board cruise ships or vessels.
: All circulars, orders, and other issuances inconsistent with this Memorandum Circular are revoked or modified accordingly.
: The Circular took effect immediately as of 12 September 2014.
