Additional Agency Equity Increase

  • Employees of government agencies whose regular emoluments do not exceed the salary levels stipulated under the National Pay Plan receive an additional salary increase equivalent to ten percent (10%) of their basic salaries.

Occupational Equity Increase

  • Certain classes of positions and occupational groups are granted an additional salary increase of five percent (5%) on top of other increases:
    • Classes of positions include:
      • Teachers and related teaching positions
      • Agricultural and Agrarian reform technologists who hold bachelor's degrees
      • Vocational placement officers
      • Youth welfare and development officers
    • Occupational groups include:
      • Veterinary services group
      • Social welfare group

Teachers’ Salary Increase and Partial Implementation of Magna Carta

  • The salary increase for teachers provided herein serves as partial implementation of Republic Act No. 4670, the Magna Carta for Public School Teachers.
  • Local public school teachers and related teaching positions shall receive the same salary increases as national government public school teachers.

Funding for the Salary Increase

  • Salary adjustments for national government employees will be financed through the Compensation and Organizational Adjustment Fund established under Executive Order No. 87.

Implementation Guidelines

  • The Department of Budget and Management is tasked to establish necessary guidelines for the proper implementation of this Executive Order.

Effectivity

  • This Executive Order takes effect on March 1, 1987.
