Component Hospitals Under GCGMMC

  • The GCGMMC consists of (a) the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Medical Center in Tagbilaran City, and (b) the Multi-Specialty Medical Center in the Municipality of Cortes, Province of Bohol.
  • The two listed facilities together form the single integrated complex under DOH supervision.

Expansion Based on DOH Development Plan

  • Any future increase in bed capacity, health care facilities, service capability, and human resource complement must be based on a hospital development plan.

Amendment of Related Statute and Modification Clause

  • Republic Act No. 11324 (titled as an Act increasing the bed capacity and upgrading services and facilities of the Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital, amending Republic Act No. 7266, and appropriating funds therefor) is hereby amended accordingly through Section 7.
  • All laws, executive orders, issuances, rules and regulations inconsistent with Republic Act No. 11883 are modified accordingly.

Separability, Effectivity, and Publication Rule

  • If any provision or part of Republic Act No. 11883 is declared unconstitutional, the remaining provisions or parts not affected remain in full force and effect under Section 6.
  • Republic Act No. 11883 takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
