Entitlement to Training

  • Presentation of original valid passport, seaman's book, OWWA ID, or any valid proof of overseas employment
  • One recent 1" x 1" photo attached for registration purposes

Language Courses Offered

  • Courses initially offered include Arabic, Mandarin, and English
  • Possibility of expanding to other foreign languages as needed

Training Venues

  • Conducted at designated training rooms located at OWWA Development Center, Pasay City
  • Also conducted at OWWA Building, Intramuros, Manila

Penalty for Non-completion

  • OCWs or prospective OCWs who fail to complete the course without justifiable cause must reimburse the full cost of training
  • Ensures commitment and discourages dropout without valid reasons

Administration and Monitoring

  • Managed by Manpower Development Benefits Department through the Training Assistance Division
  • Field Services Office, via the Manpower Development Division of NCR, is responsible for project implementation
  • Both departments collaborate to monitor and evaluate training effectiveness

Budget Provision

  • Funding for the language training must be approved by the OWWA Board of Trustees
  • Ensures proper financial support for program sustainability

Effectivity of the Memorandum
