Scope and Application

Validation of Foreign Air Operator Certificates

  • All holders of current valid Foreign Air Operator Certificates by CAAP will be issued a Validated Air Operator Certificate following the ICAO Doc. 8335.
  • The validity of the validated certificate is contingent upon the validity of the original Air Operator Certificate issued by the operator’s state.

Requirements for Certificate Validity

  • If the foreign operator's home state issues AOCs of short duration (e.g., one year) or if their AOC is amended or expires soon after initial approval, the foreign operator must submit updated versions promptly.
  • Continuous compliance and timely submission ensure uninterrupted validity of the validated certificate.
