Objectives and Functions of the Station and School
- Conduct studies and experiments on various cottage industries.
- Improve and perfect techniques and methods related to cottage industries.
- Familiarize the public with the potentialities of different cottage industries.
- Provide professional, technical, and specialized instruction and training in cottage industries.
Governance and Administration
- The Secretary of Education and the Secretary of Commerce and Industry are tasked to jointly issue rules and regulations.
- These regulations will cover the organization, administration, and governance of the station and school.
- They will determine the courses of study to be taught.
- School fees, compensation, and benefits for teachers and other employees are also subject to these rules.
- The regulation covers all matters necessary for effective operation and implementation of the Act.
Appropriations and Funding
- An initial appropriation of Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (₱500,000.00) is authorized from the National Treasury.
- These funds are for the establishment, operation, and maintenance of the station and school for the fiscal year 1965.
- Subsequent funding needs will be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Effectivity
- The Act takes effect immediately upon its approval on June 19, 1965.
