Site Selection for the Hospital
- The construction site for the hospital will be determined by the Sangguniang Bayan of the Municipality of Cortes.
- This decision shall be made in consultation with the Office of the Secretary of Health.
Appropriation of Funds for Construction and Operation
- Initial construction funding shall be charged against the appropriations authorized in the Fiscal Year 1989 General Appropriations Act.
- Subsequent funding necessary for the operation and maintenance of the hospital shall be included in each annual General Appropriations Act.
Secretary of Health's Assurance Before Construction
- Prior to hospital construction, the Secretary of Health must provide a written assurance.
- This assurance should confirm that personnel appointments will be made for the hospital.
- It must also verify that funds for maintenance and operation have been appropriated.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act shall take effect immediately upon its approval by the President of the Philippines.
