  • Defines distinct career lines for public school teachers within the basic education system.
  • Complements career pathways outside the public basic education system as defined by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
  • Ensures equivalence in duties, recognition, and compensation across career lines.

  • Promotion to School Principal I requires CSC qualifications, proficiency as defined in Professional Standards for School Heads, and passing a DepEd-administered school head assessment.
  • Assistant School Principals (I-III) may be promoted/reclassified to School Principal positions with priority and professional development.
  • Master Teacher I may shift careers to school administration upon promotion.

    • Master Teacher III = School Principal II
    • Master Teacher II = School Principal I

Creation of Additional Position Titles
