Hospital bed capacity and future increases
- Section 2 increases the authorized bed capacity of the Don Jose S. Monfort Medical Center from 100 beds to 300 beds.
- Section 2 requires that any future increase in bed capacity be consistent with the hospital development plan.

- Section 5 directs the Secretary of the DOH—after consultation with the Chief of the Hospital, and in coordination with the Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management and the Chairperson of the Civil Service Commission—to determine additional new positions to be created and filled up.
DOH implementation and funding inclusion
- Section 6 requires the Secretary of the DOH to immediately include the implementation of the Act in the Department’s program.
- Section 6 provides that the funding for the Act shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Repeal of inconsistent issuances; effectivity
- Section 7 repeals, amends, or modifies all laws, decrees, executive orders, and other presidential issuances that are inconsistent with the Act.
- Section 8 states that the Act takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
