Declaration of National Teachers Month

To generate widespread awareness and support for World Teachers' Day within the Philippines.
To revitalize and enhance the teaching profession's image as a vocation.
To highlight the value of teachers in societal and national development.
To celebrate teachers' unique roles in guiding families, strengthening communities, and nation-building.

A Teachers' Month Campaign (TMC) was initiated in July 2008 by the Metrobank Foundation, De la Salle Philippines, Philippine Business for Education, and Campaigns Social Response with DepEd's active participation and business sector support.
The campaign received increasing support from government, private companies, and organizations in subsequent years, culminating in Presidential Proclamation No. 41 in 2010.

The proclamation endorses the recitation of the National Prayer for Teachers during the month-long celebration.
All government departments, agencies, local government units, private sector entities, and the public are strongly encouraged to actively support and participate in the activities promoting teachers.

The prayer invokes divine guidance and blessings for teachers, emphasizing:
- Their role in nurturing and supporting learners.
- The patience and passion necessary for teaching.
- The recognition of each student's unique potential beyond mere academic grades.
- Encouragement for teachers to continue learning and inspire future generations.
- Homage to past teachers whose work endures.
The prayer is provided in English and Filipino to reflect cultural inclusiveness.

The proclamation is issued by the President of the Philippines under his constitutional powers.
The seal of the Republic affirms the official status of the declaration.
The Executive Secretary promulgates the order for government record and enforcement.

Declares the specific annual time frame for National Teachers' Month.
Encourages national unity in recognizing teacher contributions.
Integrates cultural and spiritual elements through the prescribed prayer.
Reinforces partnerships among government, private sector, educational institutions, and civil society.
