Coordination and Development Responsibilities
- The Provincial Government of Davao del Norte is tasked with upgrading and modernizing sports facilities, equipment, and personnel.
- Coordination with the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) is required for these improvements.
- The government and PSC shall develop training programs, competitions, and a management system for the facilities.
Funding Sources and Financial Support
- Funding for construction, establishment, and operation comes from the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte.
- Additional funds may be provided by the PSC and the Office of the President.
- Grants and endowments from local or foreign sources for sports development are allowable.
Appropriations and Budget Inclusion
- The Secretary of Education must include the Academy's operation in the Department of Education’s programs.
- Funding for the Academy is to be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
Implementation Rules and Regulations
- The PSC, in coordination with DepED and the Provincial Government, shall promulgate implementing rules and regulations.
- These rules must be issued within ninety (90) days after the law's enactment.
Effectivity
- The law takes effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation.
