Geographical Boundaries and Area
- Talaingod is a portion of Kapalong, Province of Davao, on Mindanao Island.
- Bounded on the south by the City of Davao.
- Western boundary adjoins the Province of Bukidnon.
- Northeast and southeast boundaries touch the mother municipality, Kapalong.

Seat of Government
- The municipal government shall be seated in Tibi-tibi, Barangay Sto. Nino.
Plebiscite and Organization of Local Government
- A plebiscite must be conducted within 180 days from the law's approval.
- Majority vote in the affected area(s) is required for ratification.
- Upon ratification, local officials including mayor and vice mayor will be elected during the next regular elections.
- The municipality is officially organized once elected officials assume office.
Administration of Plebiscite
- The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) will oversee and conduct the plebiscite.
- Funding for the plebiscite will come from the Contingent Fund of the current fiscal year appropriations.
Effectivity and Publication Requirements
- The law takes effect upon publication in at least two newspapers of general circulation.
- Approval and signatures from the President, the Senate President, and the Speaker of the House complete the enactment process.
