    • Starts at the peak of Mt. Boroanga along Maguindanao-Lanao del Sur boundary.

    • Boundaries include lines along the municipalities of Buldon and Parang per Republic Act No. 3419.
    • Boundaries form a closed loop back to the starting point.

Applicability of Laws

  • All existing and future laws applicable to regular municipalities will apply to Barira.
  • Ensures full legal integration of the new municipality within the framework governing other municipalities.

Governance and Interim Officials

  • Current municipal officials of Buldon continue their duties for both municipalities temporarily.
  • The President of the Philippines will appoint municipal officials for Barira until elections are held.
  • Appointed officials serve until duly elected successors qualify in the next regular municipal elections.
  • Appointment of necessary officers and employees to enable effective municipal operation as per existing laws.

Repeal and Modification Clause

  • Any laws, executive orders, or regulations inconsistent with this decree are repealed or modified accordingly to avoid conflicts.

Effectivity

  • The decree takes effect immediately upon issuance.
