Geographical Boundaries of Tinoc
- Eastern boundary: Ridge of Julongan Mountain in Kiangan extending to Maduntog Mountain ridge, following the boundary between Hungduan and Kiangan municipalities.
- Western boundary: Recognized boundary between the Provinces of Benguet and Ifugao, from Mount Pulog to Mount Data in Mountain Province.
- Northern boundary: Starting from Mount Data to the ridge of Julongan Mountain, following Inlimog River and crossing Wangwang River.
Transition of Officials and Governance
- A plebiscite must be held within 120 days after the Act’s approval to confirm the creation of the municipality.
- The incumbent mayor of Hungduan, if a permanent and bona fide resident of Tinoc, automatically becomes the mayor of the new municipality.
- The incumbent vice-mayor of Hungduan, if permanently resident in what remains of Hungduan, automatically becomes mayor of the mother municipality.
- Incumbent councilors residing within the new municipality join Tinoc’s municipal council.
- Additional councilors needed to complete the council are appointed by the President.
- Similar arrangements apply for the mother municipality of Hungduan.
- These officials serve until successors are elected during the next local elections and have qualified.
Conduct and Financing of the Plebiscite
- The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is responsible for conducting and supervising the plebiscite.
- The plebiscite must take place within 120 days from the approval of the Act.
- All expenses related to the plebiscite are charged to local government funds.
Effectivity of the Act
- The Act takes effect immediately upon approval by the proper authorities.
