Creation of the Municipality of Pioduran
- Section 1 separates the barrios of Magragondong, Basicao, Palpas, Miligan, Panganiran, Flores, Cuyaoyao, Agul, Binogdogahan and Caratagan from the Municipality of Ligao.
- Section 1 separates the barrios of Malacbalac, Malidong, Basicao, Malapay Nabalingbulod, Buyo, Rawis, Namlad, Oringon, Cagbatano, Macasistas, Sukip and Tibabo from the Municipality of Guinobatan.
- Section 1 separates the barrio of Buenavista from the Municipality of Jovellar.
- Section 1 constitutes these areas into a separate and independent municipality in the Province of Albay known as the Municipality of Pioduran.
- Section 1 sets the seat of government in the present barrio of Malacbalac.
Voter approval and plebiscite requirement
- Section 3 makes the effectiveness of the Act dependent on voter approval by the barrios enumerated in Section 1.
- Section 3 requires that a majority of all the voters in the barrios hereinabove mentioned vote in favor of creating the Municipality of Pioduran.
- Section 3 requires a plebiscite to be held simultaneously with the general elections of nineteen hundred and sixty-three.
Initial local officials: appointment and tenure
- Section 2 provides that the first mayor, vice-mayor and councilors of the newly created municipality shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines with the consent of the Commission on Appointments.
- Section 2 provides that these appointed officials hold office until their successors are elected in the general elections for local officials in nineteen hundred sixty-seven.
- Section 2 provides that the appointed officials remain in office until they have qualified for their successors’ assumption.
