Territorial Boundaries and Area
- The municipality's boundary is precisely delineated using geographic coordinates and landmarks, starting at Cambanha Creek and covering an approximate total land area of 30,885 hectares.
Plebiscite Requirement for Existence
- The Municipality of Bien Unido shall formally come into existence only after a majority vote in a plebiscite held in the affected barangays.
- The plebiscite must be conducted by the Commission on Elections within 120 days of the Act’s approval.
- Expenses for the plebiscite are charged to the local government unit concerned.
Applicability of Laws
- Except as otherwise specified, all existing and future laws applicable to regular municipalities apply to Bien Unido.
Appointment and Tenure of Initial Officials
- The first municipal officials shall be appointed by the President (Prime Minister) and will hold office until successors are elected and qualified.
- Additional appointive officials and employees necessary for organizing the municipal government will be appointed as provided by law.
Effectivity of the Act
- This Act takes effect immediately upon its approval on December 24, 1980.
