Territorial Boundaries
- The municipality's boundaries are clearly defined by natural features and lot lines:
- Origin at junction of Kadauman Creek and Arakan River
- Boundaries trace the Arakan River upstream, specific lot boundaries and lot roads
- Follows course of Malire Creek, Camutan Creek, and includes landmark points linked to municipal boundaries
- Incorporates amended boundary lines with adjacent municipalities Matalam and President Roxas based on Provincial Board Resolution No. 171 s-1970
Interim Political Organization and Appointment of Officials
- Upon plebiscite approval, the initial local government officials are appointed:
- Mayor, Vice Mayor, and Sangguniang Bayan members
- Appointed by the President (Prime Minister) of the Philippines
- Hold office at the pleasure of the President or until successors are elected
- Elections for successors to occur in the next general local elections
Conduct of Plebiscite
- Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is responsible for conducting and supervising the plebiscite
- The plebiscite must be held within 120 days from law approval
- Expenses are to be borne by the local government unit concerned
Effectivity
- The law takes effect immediately upon approval
