  • The boundary proceeds down to the big river constituted by the smaller rivers coming from Talete, Jacmal, and Bunhian, and then follows that river as boundaries between Barangays Itab and Banao, Itab and Alimit, and Itab and Nattum.
  • On the Southeastern side, the boundary follows the known boundary between Barangay Ubao and the Municipality of Potia, including sitios Pusnaan and Mapacopaco in the Municipality of Aguinaldo.
  • The boundary then follows the ridge of Mt. Liyachan to the mountain ridges overlooking sitio Manaot of Barangay Pinto, Municipality of Potia, and then reaches the known boundaries between Municipality of Paracelis and Barangay Damag, and between Barangay Damag and the Municipality of Natonin.

Ratification, plebiscite, and timing

  • Section 3 requires ratification by the majority of the votes cast in a plebiscite.

  • The plebiscite must be conducted within one hundred twenty (120) days after approval of this Act.

Appointment of first officials and assumption

  • After ratification in the plebiscite, Section 3 directs the President (Prime Minister) to appoint the first:
    • Mayor
    • Vice Mayor
    • Eight (8) municipal councilors
  • The appointed officials hold office until their successors are elected during the next local election and have qualified.
