District redivision and municipal composition

  • Section 1 redivides the Province of Leyte into five (5) representative districts.
  • Section 1 assigns the following municipalities to the First District: Biliran, Caibiran, Calubian, Kawayan, Leyte, Maripipi, Merida, Naval, Palompon, San Isidro, and Villaba.
  • Section 1 assigns the following municipalities to the Second District: Ormoc, Albuera, Bato, Baybay, Hilongos, Hindang, Inopacan, and Matalom.

Repeal of inconsistent laws

  • Section 2 repeals all acts or parts of acts that are inconsistent with the provisions of Act No. 3788.
  • The repeal operates only to the extent necessary to remove inconsistency with Act No. 3788.
  • Section 3 fixes the operative date for compliance through effectivity on June 1, 1931.
