Creation of Barangay Merville in Paranaque

Barangay Merville is created by dividing subdivisions Admiral Village and Merville from Barangay La Huerta.
The mother barangay, Barangay La Huerta, retains its legal existence unaffected by this separation.
The new barangay is located in the Municipality of Parañaque, Metro Manila.

All existing and future laws governing regular barangays apply to Barangay Merville.

Current elective officials of Barangay La Huerta continue to serve as officials of Barangay Merville temporarily.
The President appoints subsequent barangay officials who serve until duly elected successors qualify in regular barangay elections.
These appointees may be removed at the President's pleasure.
Additional appointive officers and employees necessary to organize Barangay Merville’s government will be appointed in accordance with existing laws.

Upon effectivity of the decree, Barangay Merville receives its proportionate share of obligations, funds, assets, and other properties from Barangay La Huerta.
Transfers are made by the President based on recommendations from the Commission on Audit.

Any laws, executive orders, or regulations inconsistent with this decree are repealed or amended as necessary.
