Creation of Barangay Manuyo Dos in Las Pinas

All existing or future laws applicable to regular barangays shall apply to Barangay Manuyo Dos, except as otherwise provided.

The elective barangay officials of Barangay Manuyo currently holding office shall continue to serve as officials of Barangay Manuyo Dos.
The President of the Philippines will appoint barangay officials to serve until the next regular barangay elections.
These appointed officials may be removed at the pleasure of the President.
Additional appointive officers and employees necessary for the organization and completion of Barangay Manuyo Dos’s government may be appointed under existing laws.

Upon the effective date of the decree, the President shall transfer the proportionate share of obligations, funds, assets, and other property from Barangay Manuyo to Barangay Manuyo Dos.
Such transfers occur upon recommendation of the Commission on Audit to ensure proper allocation.

Any laws, executive orders, or regulations inconsistent with this decree are repealed or modified accordingly.

The State aims to accelerate socio-economic development through efficient local governance.
The creation of Barangay Manuyo Dos responds to the residents’ and local officials’ clamor for closer supervision and better implementation of developmental programs.
It is intended to enhance the socio-economic well-being of the residents within the new barangay's territorial jurisdiction.
