  • The President of the Philippines will appoint barangay officials to serve until the next regular barangay elections.
  • These appointed officials may be removed at the pleasure of the President.
  • Additional appointive officers and employees necessary for the organization and completion of Barangay Manuyo Dos’s government may be appointed under existing laws.

Transfer of Obligations and Properties

  • Upon the effective date of the decree, the President shall transfer the proportionate share of obligations, funds, assets, and other property from Barangay Manuyo to Barangay Manuyo Dos.
  • Such transfers occur upon recommendation of the Commission on Audit to ensure proper allocation.

Legal Repeals and Modifications

  • Any laws, executive orders, or regulations inconsistent with this decree are repealed or modified accordingly.

Effectivity

  • The decree takes effect immediately upon issuance on April 3, 1978.
