Geographical Boundaries of Barangay Dalig
- Barangay Dalig encompasses an area bounded by the following landmarks and roads:
- North: Antipolo-Teresa National Road
- East: Municipality of Teresa
- South: Boundary between the municipalities of Teresa and Angono
- West: Antipolo-Darangan Road
Ratification and Appointment of Initial Barangay Officials
- A plebiscite shall be conducted within 120 days from the approval of the Act to ratify the creation of Barangay Dalig.
- The plebiscite will involve the majority of votes cast from qualified voters within the affected area.
- Upon ratification, the President of the Philippines shall appoint the first set of officials for Barangay Dalig.
- These officials shall hold office until successors are elected and qualified during the next regular barangay elections.
Role of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in the Plebiscite
- The Commission on Elections is mandated to conduct and supervise the plebiscite regarding the creation of Barangay Dalig.
- All expenses related to the plebiscite shall be charged against the appropriations allocated to the Commission on Elections for plebiscites in the current General Appropriations Act.
Effectivity of the Law
- The Act shall take effect immediately upon its approval by the legislative body.
- The establishment of Barangay Dalig becomes legally effective after this prescribed ratification and procedural compliance.
